EVENT | U+I Think – ‘Building Great Places: The view from the left’

On March 30th Tim attended a breakfast talk by John McDonnell, Labour’s Shadow Chancellor at U+I PLC London offices. The key theme was of the need for housing and what parliament can do to aid the process.

The MP for Hayes & Harlington was certainly passionate about the redevelopment of the Old Vinyl Factory in his constituency of Hayes. He said of U+I’s role as simply exemplary, consulting the local community and all pertinent stakeholders at every stage of the process.

The redevelopment of the site is already significantly proving to be a “great example of a positive and spectacular  mixed-use development.”

The overriding message of his short speech was of working together with the property developing community to create fully-engaged mixed-use developments that prove to be real gems in their local communities for generations to come.
